WhatsApp has crossed 5 billion installation milestones

The Facebook-owned application CashWits app has been installed 5 billion times from the Google Play Store alone. This is the second non-Google app, which has achieved this goal.

According to the statistics report, WhatsApp has been downloaded 1.6 billion times. WhatsApp also surpassed 1.3 billion installations of Facebook’s second app Messenger.
According to the Google Play Store, the use of WhatsApp in South Korea has increased significantly. This is 56% higher than the previous year.

Sensor Tower analysts said that 850 million downloads of Google surpassed Facebook’s 800 million downloads in the second quarter of 2019. However, overall Facebook downloads are still higher than Google.

Currently, 4 of the 5 most downloaded apps owned by Facebook are WhatsApp, Instagram, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and Facebook. According to a report, the number of installs for Android applications not only shows downloads but also includes the number of pre-installed applications on different mobiles.

The first non-Google app to touch a billion installation targets is TalkTalk, developed by Chinese company Byte Dance.
