Techno, the leading smartphone manufacturer owned by Transan Holdings, on Thursday launched two of its best camera smartphones in the country, the Camon-15 and Camon-15 Pro, in a new avatar for Rs 9,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.
According to the mobile manufacturer, the Techno Camon smartphone will bring an era of high camera pixels, premium AI with ultra night lenses (powered by DSP technology) and a pop-up selfie camera.
Arijit Talapatra, CEO of Transan India said in a statement, With the new product offering under the Cayman Series portfolio, we are now going to change the way photography is perceived by consumers in this category.
After consolidating its position among the top five smartphone brands in the early-stage smartphone category (entry-level segment), the handset maker hopes to consolidate its position in the medium range smartphone segment as a major camera-focused company in India.
Talpatra said, “We will have around 10–12 models in 2020 in the Spark, Cayman and Phantom series. The first two will comprise around 90 per cent of our volumes and we will ensure that we are aggressive in terms of product offerings.
” Both smartphones are excellent products in their segment. The Techno Camon-15 Pro is the first smartphone in its Rs 15,000 segment to offer a 48-megapixel quad-cam, 32-megapixel pop-up selfie, and six GB plus 128 GB storage.
At the same time, the Camon-15 is the first smartphone in the category under Rs 10,000 to feature a 48 megapixel quad rear camera, 16 megapixel dot in selfie camera, 5000 mAh battery and a large 6.55 inch display.
According to the handset manufacturer, the new smartphones will be available for sale from February 25 and can be purchased from over 35,000 offline retail stores.
