Starting January 14 next year, Microsoft will no longer provide security upgrades for Win7 systems

Microsoft recently announced that it will end support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. Microsoft said that users can still use computers running Windows 7, but without continuous software and security updates, computers are at greater risk of being attacked by viruses and malware. The report shows that the current global Windows 10 market share is 53.78% and Windows 7 is 26.62%. In a short statement on the official website, Microsoft stated: “After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security upgrades or support for computers with Windows 7 installed. Upgrade to Windows 10 now to maintain the productivity of your employees And safety. ”

Windows 7 was officially released in October 2009, and it has been ten years. Windows 7 is a better word-of-mouth version of Windows. Although Microsoft has been encouraging users to upgrade to Windows 10 early on, many consumers still refuse to upgrade because of “difficulty”. Until 2019, the number of Windows 10 users exceeded that of Windows 7.

The predecessor of Windows 7 is Windows Vista, which is one of Microsoft’s most modified Windows systems. It laid the foundation for subsequent Windows systems. However, due to the tight development schedule, Vista had a lot of problems after it was launched at the end of 2006. Three years later, Windows 7 focused on improving Vista’s problems, and restored consumers’ hearts with a stable and smooth system.

However, it is worth noting that in 2009 when Windows 7 was launched, the trend of smart phones has arrived, and the world has begun to transform from the traditional Internet to the mobile Internet. In Windows 10, we can see Microsoft’s efforts to make the Windows operating system compatible with desktop and mobile, but in the mobile field, Microsoft still has a long way to go.
