New Delhi : Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has donated Rs 80 lakh to India to fight the Corona virus.
According to the Gulf Times, Rohit Sharma has announced to deposit Rs 45 lakh in connection with the Corona virus in a fund established by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rs 25 lakh in the fund set up by the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, he donated Rs 5 lakh to organizations such as the Feeding India Organization and the Welfare of Stray Dogs.
Rohit Sharma described the amount donated in a tweet on social networking website Twitter and wrote, “We have some responsibility to save the country from this outbreak.”
