Rawalpindi (92News): Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 30 runs in a match played at PSL Five today.
The Quetta Gladiators team scored 140 runs in the target of 171 runs. Mohammad Nawaz scored 18 and Shane Watson scored 19. Sarfraz Ahmed was dismissed for one run. Azam Khan was dismissed without any runs.
From Peshawar Zalmi, Wahab Riaz took three and Hassan Ali took two wickets. From Peshawar Zalmay, Shoaib Malik played an aggressive 54-run stand and was declared the best player of the match.
The match started late due to the outfield being wet and the match was limited to 15 overs.
Quetta Gladiators Mohammad Hassan took 4 wickets. The Gladiators opener started aggressively in pursuit of the target. Watson and Jason Wray provided a 45-run start. Watson was out for 19.
Jason Roy resisted, scoring the team to 75 runs. Roy scored 45 and fell to Yasir Shah.
