ISLAMABAD: Not everyone needs to wear a mask to avoid the Corona virus, the Health Ministry said.
An emergency core group chaired by Dr. Zafar Mirza, Assistant Prime Minister of Health, was attended by specialists, health officials, senior officials, representatives of the Pak army and other experts. The meeting reviewed the corona virus situation in the country and measures to prevent it.
Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the Federal, Provinces and all institutions are fully prepared to protect the Corona virus. All of them must play a vital role in protecting the people, all those coming from overseas on land routes and airports. Screening is being performed.
Dr. Zafar Mirza said that on March 4, 21 thousand 360 passengers were screened and more than 7 lakh 60 thousand passengers have been screened so far, are doing everything possible to deal with the virus, separate rooms have been allocated in hospitals and more. So far, only five cases of Corona virus have been reported so far.
Ministry of Health officials said that not everyone in the country needs to wear a mask, the few people who should wear masks include those who have coronavirus disease, or doctors and medical personnel who are coronary virus patients. Third, people who have severe cough or colds.
