Lock down will not cause food shortages, matters are fixed in provinces

LAHORE: In case of Corona virus inter-provincial transport ban, the delivery of food items will continue and the information and other coordination will be strengthened.

To meet the shortage of vegetables and fruits as needed in Lahore, the secretaries at the provincial government level decided, from Punjab to potatoes, peas, carrots and other vegetables while onions, tomatoes, ginger, green peppers and garlic came from Sindh. The pulses are being imported from Faisalabad, Sargodha.

District administration Lahore has also taken up the strategy with other departments; citizens will not face food shortage during lockdown. In the meantime, it has begun to think that if a lockdown is done to prevent the Corona virus, people need to adopt a comprehensive strategy to meet their dietary needs.
