Indian and Pakistani teams to face Dubai
Mumbai: The BCCI has congratulated the long-awaited cricket fans. BCCI president and former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly said an interesting battle between India and Pakistan would take place in Dubai. The Asian Cup venue has become the epicenter of the top teams of the Asian continent. While the tour was to be held in Pakistan in September, the BCCI has made it clear that they will not attend due to security reasons. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the venue was shifted from Pakistan to Dubai.
It was revealed that the Asian Cup will be held in Dubai and that India and Pakistan will play in the tournament. Ganguly will also attend the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dubai on March 3, the BCCI said. Before heading to Dubai, Ganguly spoke to the media at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. He said that in the face of terrorism, the Indian team has not traveled to Pakistan for security and political reasons in recent years.
