In the US-Chinese trade war that lasted for a few months, Huawei had to introduce its smartphones without Google services.
Now Huawei has decided to pre-install up to 70 popular apps on its smartphones.
Huawei will not install a single app on all smartphones but will be determined by charts of popularity of apps in different countries and play store.
Huawei does not include Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, which will pre-install any popular apps on its smartphones. The reason for this is US sanctions.
Huawei can offer popular pre-installed apps in its upcoming P40 series. The P40 series is expected to be introduced on March 26.
Huawei believes that pre-adding popular apps will help users avoid the hassle of installing the app with app files.
In addition, Huawei is also part of the newly established Global Developer Service Alliance (GDSA). which aims to encourage developers to launch apps on their app stores in Huawei, Shumi, Vivo and Oppo.
It also plans to offer its own app suite compared to Google’s app suite, the company is already working on making the app map.
