COVID-19: Apple 5G iPhones launch may be delayed

Apple may delay the launch of its first 5G iPhones due to an outbreak of Coronavirus.

It was expected that the company will launch 5G iPhones in September but now it may be delayed. According to the latest Nikkei Asian Review report, Apple is concerned that the demand for its first 5G phone will be weak due to the coronovirus epidemic.

The iPhone-maker has reportedly held internal discussions and reported that the launch may be delayed. Let us tell you that Apple released the iPhone X in early November 2017, and the iPhone XR in October 2018, there is a possibility that the 2020 iPhones may not be launched simultaneously. The report states that suppliers making an iPhone component have indicated that it will be launched later. Further stated that “We have been informed to begin shipping in large quantities to complete Apple’s new product launch by the end of August.”
As mentioned above, Apple is rumored to introduce four new iPhone models in 2020. The iPhone 12 is expected to be the successor to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max 2019 models.
