Corona: More than 4 lakh passengers test in Sikkim, no positive

In view of the rising havoc of Corona virus, every state has come on alert mode. Meanwhile, Sikkim is conducting a test of its tourists. So far she has done more than 4 lakh tests and it is a matter of relief that till now no positive has been found.

The corona virus is wreaking havoc in around 70 countries of the world and now it has started showing its effect in India as well. So far, 29 cases have been reported in the country, out of which 3 have been treated. Although 26 cases are still positive, vigilance has increased in India. There is also a situation of alert in the states of Northeast India. So far more than 4 lakh people have been screened in Sikkim.

Meanwhile, the Sikkim government has said that more than 4.06 lakh passengers coming to the state have been screened in view of Corona virus infection, but not a single positive case has been reported so far.

As per the information released by the state Health Department, 69,734 vehicles were stopped for checking at Utre, Ramman, Rangpo, Reshi and Meli check posts and 4,06,993 passengers were checked for symptoms of corona virus, but now in Sikkim Not a single positive case came up.

According to PTI, 14 of these passengers have reported their ‘travel history associated with China and Nepal’.

In a statement released on Wednesday by the Health Department, it has been said that no signs or symptoms of corona virus have been found in any passengers. However, four passengers have been kept under observation as a precautionary measure.
