Apple, Microsoft and Facebook three tech giants restrict employees’ travel to China

According to Forbes, US tech giants Apple, Microsoft and Facebook have all followed the latest instructions from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US State Department to restrict all unnecessary travel to China. 

Facebook and Microsoft recommend that employees in China work from home. A Microsoft spokesperson said: “Based on the global health sector’s risk assessment, we recommend that Chinese employees work from home and cancel all non-essential business travel.

Facebook spokesman Anthony Harrison said: With very careful consideration, we have taken measures to protect the health and safety of employees. “Apple CEO Cook said on Tuesday that the company has closed a store in Wuhan and restricted travel to travel that is vital to the business “For employees in Wuhan, we are providing care packages and are available to all our employees in China.”
